With more than 100,000 deaths nationwide, the number of COVID-19 infections in India has now surpassed 6.6 million. The havoc of the virus in the national capital is now gradually seen to be decreasing, but the number of people dying from the virus is still increasing. In Delhi over 2,90,000 people have been infected and 5,581 people have died due to COVID-19 so far. In view of the increasing deaths in Delhi, workers have cleared an area in 'Jadid Qabristan Ahle Islam,' the oldest cemetery in the Indian capital near Delhi Gate, to create space for the 400 graves earmarked for COVID-19 victims.
