In 1984, a pair of ordinary Yorkies gave birth to a puppy with an original color - white spots on the coat. Snowflake, as the baby was named, became the ancestor of the breed Biewer Yorkshire Terrier, named after the owner of the cattery - Werner Beaver. The Biewer Terrier differs from the usual Yorkies by the inclusion of white spots in the coat, so it is sometimes called a white Yorkshire Terrier. Now, this breed is considered one of the most beautiful in the world.

The Biewer is an indoor, decorative companion dog with a graceful, well-proportioned body and a gorgeous, long, thick coat. It is said that the coat is close to human hair and does not cause allergies, which makes this breed popular with families with small children.

Height at the withers ranges from 22-27 cm. Weight - up to 3.2 kg.

Color in the standard of the breed is of fundamental importance because it distinguishes the Biewer from the usual Yorkshire Terrier. Three varieties of color are allowed:

Gold-white-and-blue.
Golden-black-and-white.
Black and white.

The flecks of red hair on the body are considered culling.
