How to date a 1974 to current Buck 110 and 112 folding knife. I look at how to more closely date the Buck two dot 110 (.110.) built between 1974 and 1979 and talk about the different brass pin configurations that came on the 110 between those years and how they correlate to specific years between 1974 and 1979. Although the pin dating method will give you a very good idea of the specific date on the two dot 110’s there could be some overlap between the years. The information on dating the pin variations has come from my own research and what other collectors of Buck knives have documented based on when they bought the different versions of the knives in their collection. I’m don’t believe the pin dating method holds true for the 112.

One of my viewers (Proud Pennsylvanian) pointed out a valuable bit of dating info that pertains to the 1992 year and the double dash which is not covered in Buck’s own dating literature.
