West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday wrote another letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, claiming that she had not received a response to her previous letter, in which she called for more stringent legislation to address rape cases. West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose met Union Home Minister Amit Shah today at his residence to discuss the law and order situation in the state in the light of the rape and murder of a Kolkata trainee doctor at RG Kar hospital in Kolkata.
