Audi A4 (B8) repairs. Episode 10, Fuel filter replacement (no VCDS).

I have now reached episode 10 in my series of repair videos for the 2008-2016 Audi A4 (b8)

An Item I overlooked when carrying out the service in episode 8 (    • Audi A4 (B8) repairs. Episode 8. Oil ...   ) was the diesel filter so I decided it was time to remedy that.

Not an expensive part at around £20 but a little bit inaccessible as it is fitted below the car.

This car is a 2.0 TDi so the process may be different on a petrol car.

The high pressure fuel pump needs to be primed after changing the filter. If you have access to VCDS or Vagcom you can do it via software but I chose to do it by manually purging the pump of air with a small hand pump.
