The Prime Minister under enormous pressure after failing to get the UK out of the EU before European elections, was told to resign by one of her own backbenchers during a bruising Prime Minister's Questions today. She has been given until 4pm to set out a 'roadmap' showing when she will be stepping down, ahead of a meeting of the powerful 1922 Committee of backbench MPs. But she continues to resist demands that she leave before Brexit is done, with Downing Street suggesting she could stay in post until September. Speaking at PMQs in the Commons, hardline Brexiteer Andrea Jenkyns (left) told MPs it was time for Mrs May to go. She said: 'The public no longer trust her to run Brexit negotiations. Isn't it time to step aside and let someone else lead our country, our party and the Brexit negotiations?'
