The executioner of sub frequencies, Damn Kids, is back with 'Kavoda', a 2-track release with 'Bakba'. Living in the world of bass music, and having a secret obsession with Hip Hop, it was inevitable that Damn Kids violently stabbed his toes in the water to apply his signature arrangements to electronics adopted bastard stepson, Trap.

Kavoda

Kavoda's main ingredient includes pitched up and down vocal snippets with a percussion line that imitates a full verse of scatting. To accompany the chopped vocal clips, crisp claps, and sonic synth arrangements dangle their legs over the wall into a humid forest of warm bass. While the drops are clearly dedicated to creating a sea of seizure induced shoulder shufflers on the dance floor, the break utilizes super-saw synths to evoke a moodier atmosphere that you'd expect from a '94 hardcore record.

Bakba

Damn Kids wanted to ensure that this track never saw any radio play, at least one would think so from the choice of sample. Permeating with the growling vocal chops and crisp claps that Damn Kids has become known for, Bakba is nothing short of a monster. Even more impressive, is the usage of simplistic screeching synth builds in the break that could be straight out of a horror movie. All this, mutated together with a bass line that rattles everything that isn't glued to a surface.
