In a firm declaration of its mission, Indian Railways vows to continue providing economical travel options for the underprivileged, lower middle class, and middle class, affirmed Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister of Railways, Information and Broadcasting, Electronics and IT. Speaking at a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signing event at Rail Bhavan today, the minister urged the Railway workforce to redouble their efforts to uphold public trust in the system.

Vaishnaw highlighted the Railways' ambitious plan to manufacture 10,000 non-AC coaches over the next two years as part of its commitment to enhancing accessibility and affordability for all segments of society. He emphasized that ensuring affordable rail travel remains a top priority for the government, reflecting its dedication to serving the nation's diverse socio-economic strata.
