It is your right as a woman to own one spectacularly fabulous pair of earrings. Diamonds should really be involved. Even that spunky blonde who doles out all the money saving advice would agree. I personally prefer a small arsenal of earrings to choose from, long and dangly to your anything-but-basic studs and everything in between are okay by me. Fabulous doesn't even being to describe these antique French Belle Époque earrings. Over 3 carats of diamond so full of light and color that you really do start to wonder how they could have packed all of that rainbow into one little rock. The diamonds are Old European Mine cut stones. The top stone in each earring measures 3 mm x 2 mm for about .3 carats total, the two main diamonds measure 7.3 mm across and 4 mm deep and weigh approximately 1.3 carats each. All in all about 3.3-3.5 carats of gorgeously bright white old cut diamonds. These beauties put on a show that simply does not stop, they have such shimmer and shine, you can see them even in the dark. All the better for you since there isn't likely to be any power on that island (better make that a hunky yet incredibly intelligent and handy stranger!).

Dating to about 1910-1915, these earrings are hand made in 18 karat gold with platinum mounts. They are marked with the French eagles head mark and also have an insurance number on them. They have lever backs which snap firmly into place to make certain they don't get misplaced and they are extremely comfortable on.

From the boardroom to the boudoir, these are simply, truly the only earrings you will ever need, more impressive than studs, more versatile than chandeliers. And guaranteed not to go out of style for at least another hundred years. Likely not even then.
