Test Drive - 2015 Mustang 50th Anniversary Edition!

This 2015 50th Anniversary Edition Mustang is likely one of the lowest mileage examples in existence, with a mere 749 miles since new! Being collector owned, this Anniversary Mustang comes complete with an incredible collection of commemorative items issued by the factory to celebrate its 50 years. Only 1,964 Anniversary editions were produced to celebrate the 1964 inaugural year of Mustang production and this example is Number 500 of 1,964. She is fully optioned, impeccably maintained, and needs nothing to be enjoyed for shows and touring.

The current and original owner of this Anniversary Edition is a significant car collector and maintains her vehicles to perfection. This Mustang was produced at the Flat Rock, MI Assembly Plant and was received at the Bowen Scarff Ford-Lincoln Dealership in Kent, WA where the current owner added her to her collection on December 27, 2014. With only 749 miles, she is a stunning and like-new example.

The elegant livery shows as new in Wimbledon White (Paint Code N4) which is one of two color options offered for the 50th Anniversary Edition. She comes complete with the distinctive “GT 50 Years” Anniversary Gas Cap, rear window louvers and 19-inch machine painted alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli black wall tires. An added nicety is the Mustang logo is projected on the ground beneath each door when opened.

The Mustang’s interior is a gorgeous two-tone Wimbledon White cashmere and black leather combination (Trim Code Q6) with two-toned stitching which shows as new throughout and compliments the exterior beautifully. The seat backs and floor mats are embroidered with the 50 Year logo. She also is accompanied by additional non-logo floor mats to protect the anniversary versions. She boasts a Shaker Pro 12 speaker audio system, leather wrapped tilt and telescopic steering wheel, factory air conditioning, along with other modern amenities one would expect from a contemporary collectible. She is also complete with a 50 Year, Limited Edition number 0500 / 1964 commemorative plaque which is emblazoned with Bill Ford’s signature and located above the glove box.

The engine compartment is as new and boasts the venerable Coyote 5.0-liter V-8 producing 435 hp with 400 lb ft of torque. The power is transferred to the independent rear suspension through her 6-speed Select Shift Automatic Transmission. She comes equipped with Ford’s Performance package which includes strut braces, unique chassis tuning, Brembo Brakes, larger radiator, and other additional performance enhancements.

This Anniversary Mustang comes complete with the original documents, window display sheet and numerous other Mustang Anniversary items such as 1/18 scale model, brochures, key fobs, playing cards, windshield screen, etc. This low mileage, one-owner, extremely well-maintained Anniversary Edition would be an exceptional addition to any Mustang collection.
