Biharinath, the Araku valley of West Bengal is the tallest hill of Bankura and one of the dense forest areas of the district is a part of the Eastern Ghats. It is 451 metres (1,480 ft) high.

Biharinath Temple - Biharinath Temple is a temple of Lord Shiva in the foothills. According to the worshippers, the ‘Shivalinga’, renowned as ‘Biharinath’ is very much alive. The hill is named upon the God. The eye soothing scenic beauty, whispering streams, deep sound of the temple bell created a peaceful space. Pilgrims come here from far and near during ‘Mahashivrati’ festival. This place becomes a serene pilgrimage during the month of ‘Shraban’ and ‘Navaratri’.

Baranti Hill - Baranti is located in the lap of Gorongi Hill. This village is surrounded by the Panchkot Hill at one side and the Biharinath Hill on the other. It's a small, quiet and scenic place. There is a 1 km long irrigation project dam, between two small hillocks, Muradi Hill and Baranti Hill. Baranti is in the vicinity of Ramchandrapur Irrigation Project. One gets a grand view of the reservoir from Baranti. It's part of the Rarh countryside.

Garh Panchkot - Garh Panchkot is a ruined fort located at the foothills of Panchet Hill in Purulia. The place is a part of nearly 1500 year-old history of the Singh Deo dynasty. The only remains of this kingdom are the temple ruins on the southern Panchet foothills. The temples belong to different architectural styles like ‘Pancharatna, Jor-Bangla and Pirha. The ruins of the Panchkot Palace are a silent testimony to the Bargi attack during the 18th century. In the fort's construction a combination of natural and man made resources were used to build it.
The two distinctive architectural styles, which are evident from the temples, are the Bishnupuri style and a much older architectural style of using stone blocks. It is believed that the Bishnupuri styled temples housed Krishna and the followers were mostly vegetarians whereas the Stone Temples housed the figure of Kali and the followers were non-vegetarians and also believed in animal sacrifice.

Hadhadi Waterfall - There is a waterfall name hadhadi inside the jungle, the trail was interesting but the fall was not so great, expected something better. One need to be aware from snakes and monkeys which are quite common in the area.

Panchet Dam - Panchet Dam was the last of the four multi-purpose dams included in the first phase of the Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC). It was constructed across the Damodar River at Panchet opened in 1959. It is an earthen dam with concrete spillway. The reservoir taps a catchment area of 10,961 square kilometres. Two units of 40 MW have been installed for power generation. Telkupi, a village under Raghunathpur police station, was submerged with the construction of Panchet Dam resulting numerous historical Jain temples to get submerged.
