Muckleshoot Oral Historian Warren King George explains what that means to the Muckleshoot Tribe, and how this year's Canoe Journey helps us connect with our ancestors who fought and sacrificed for what we have today.

We also honor those who carry on today in defending our status as Sovereign Nations so that we may continue to practice our culture, beliefs, and our way of life as our ancestors intended.
