Great to welcome leaders from the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games team including Chair Peter Beattie, CEO Mark Peters & Deputy Chair Sam Coffa. The trio presented a Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games surfboard to ASC CEO Kate Palmer to commemorate the partnership and were joined by AIS Director Matt Favier, along with athletes currently training at the AIS in Canberra, Rachel Neylan (Road Cycling), Jesse Aungles (Swimming) & Chris Remkes (Gymnastics).

In the build-up to the Games, the AIS and the Commonwealth Games Association are combining resources to boost grants to athletes, giving them the best chance of success.
