Greg Alba, Roxy Striar, and John Humphrey dive into Peacemaker Season 2, Episode 5 (“Back to the Suture”), the wild HBO & DCU series from writer/director James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy, The Suicide Squad). The show stars John Cena (WWE, Fast & Furious 9) as Christopher Smith / Peacemaker, the over-the-top antihero torn between his brutal upbringing and his growing sense of morality.
In this episode, Peacemaker and his team uncover shocking new layers to the conspiracy threatening humanity, while his strained relationship with Vigilante and Leota Adebayo comes to a breaking point. Danielle Brooks (Orange Is the New Black) shines as Leota Adebayo, whose loyalty is tested in unexpected ways. Freddie Stroma (Bridgerton) delivers laughs and chaos as Adrian Chase / Vigilante, while Jennifer Holland (American Horror Story) as Emilia Harcourt and Steve Agee (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2) as John Economos navigate high-stakes tension inside the team.
The episode also teases emotional flashbacks for Peacemaker, expanding on his connection to his late father Auggie Smith, played by Robert Patrick (Terminator 2: Judgment Day, The X-Files).
