Hellooo mon petit choux! So I've always loved this tune, and the way Bon Iver / Justin Vernon plays it is just like 'uuugh, marry me' - also I think his original video isn't available in the UK anymore which is totally sad. In the second verse my brain turned off and I was like aaaahhh what is life, and then at 4:23 I slipped (tried to fix it in post but it wasn't happening and it's now half 4 in the morning) but I'm mostly pretty pleased.

Nerdy stuff:

It was also the first time I've properly tried to mix piano, so the details for anyone who's interested:

Mics:
2 Rode NT5's (cheers Callum) on the soundboard at the back, panned 100% left and right
AKG C3000b (cheers dad) panned centre, just behind where I was sat I guess as a room mic?
Then some fancy EQing and a compressor on top and that's about it! It's a bit boomy in the top third of the piano but I think that's just down to mic placement. Either way I was pretty pleased! :)
