Volusia Mall (Daytona Beach, FL) : Florida Dead Mall Series

Opened in the '70s, and once home to the most incredible mall fountain I've ever seen, Volusia Mall is at risk of becoming just another dead mall. Why? Competition from the likes of One Daytona is part of it.

I visited the mall around Spring Break – woohoo! – to see what Volusia Mall had to offer and it offered plenty of surprises, from clones of the same store and long abandoned anchors to seriously off the wall tenants that have been there for decades.
