WANDERERS ABOVE A SEA OF FOG, (2012) by Bjorn Mortensen and Bernat Daviu.
In this film the two artists embark in a ritualistic journey in the forest to embrace a higher state of consciousness in the hope to attain harmony and break away from a saturated and putrid world. The overalls, which have been made for the occasion, emulate poorly-made tie dye patterns which origins are from ancient cultures but is now mostly associated with the hippie movement. The title, "Wanderers Above the Sea of Fog" is taken from a painting by Caspar David Friedrich. The painting shows a man standing on a formation of rocks, looking upon a sea of fog and clouds. The painting has been interpreted as a self-reflection, expressed through the wanderer's gaze into the murkiness of the landscape.
