MONARCH AND QUEEN BUTTERFLY CHRYSALIS HOW TO TELL THE DIFFERENCE

The monarch butterfly (Danaus plexippus) and the queen butterfly (Danaus gilippus) are two beloved south Florida butterflies that are frequents into butterfly gardens throughout the state so long as you plant the correct plant. We recently obtained a potted giant milkweed plant and before we could even get it into the ground, we noticed that it had caterpillars of the queen butterfly on it. We did not realize that it also had eggs of the monarch butterfly as well. Within a week or two we had several monarch and queen chrysalis and this video we wanted to show you an up close and personal view of these two amazing jeweled structures and give you some tips on how to tell the difference between the two species.
