"This song is part of a cycle of song I wrote with my friend Richard Bruxvoort Colligan, Singing Prayers for the Earth (2017). Here’s a little prayer disguised as a polka, or vice versa. It’s meant to be used in a back-and-forth with gee-whiz facts about this amazing universe. The recording, and below, gives an example, but there’s no limit to the amazing tidbits you could dig up. Build your own polka gee whiz presentation. Then get a handful of readers to take turns barking out the OMG-Wowness. Just because it’s a prayer doesn’t mean you have to close your eyes and be somber."
