Georgette and Sick Things' Cameron Turin revisit the melancholic Christmas classic “In the Bleak Midwinter”. Rendering it more of a sad love song than a religious chant, the two artist gave the lyrics a modern more intimate twist. Complete with a video that is an homage to last century’s Christmas specials (think John Denver and CFCF 12 Christmas interludes), simple and cozy.

Georgette is a new musical project led by Emily Skahan. Her first EP Funny Girl is a fresh and cozy blend of electronic moody and sunny tracks - a collection of playful, feel-good music. Produced an co-written by Marky Beats (Jonathan Roy), Georgette is coming off 8 years in Montreal sweetheart group Motel Raphael. She sings backup vocals for friend and close collaborator Caracol. She has already collaborated with Dan D-Noy on his single “I’ll Be Your Island” and DJ Unpier’s “SUGARSUGAR”. She is currently working on her next EP, due in autumn 2020. Having played festivals such as Osheaga, SXSW and the Festival de Jazz de Montréal and opened for the likes of Tegan and Sara, Georgette knows the future is bright.

Cameron Turin heads Sick Things on guitar and lead vocals. Sick Things are a powerpop band from Montreal, Canada. Since the band's beginning in 2015, they have received praise for their high energy live shows and catchy songwriting. They rapidly gained attention in both Montreal and Toronto earning opening spots for Red Kross, The Buzzcocks, Alexisonfire, Valient Thorr and the MC5 as well as a highly acclaimed performance at Osheaga 2017. The band released their debut album, "Sick Things" via God's Candy Records in early 2018, picking up regular radio play on Chom 97.7, and praise from Noisey, PunkNews and Canadian Beats. Taking nods from bands like Big Star, Alice Cooper and Thin Lizzy, their sound is guitar driven, with big choruses and heart-on-sleeve stories.
