Steven Sherwood, President of Sandhills, talked to us about how they use the KML feature:

"We are an aerial imaging company that operates fixed-wing aircraft around the United States, collecting data for our geospatial customers. Our aircraft, via our computer system, utilizes flight planning maps of the areas we are to capture, and embedded in those data files are KML files that show each flight line we are to fly. This data included the geographical location, length, direction, and maximum speeds we can fly these flight lines at. Within Spidertracks, we can embed these KML files on the Operations Manager end and actually see which of these flight lines they are flying, and if they are adhering to the requirements listed above. This allows us for much greater accuracy for reporting complete or non-complete flight lines."
