Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a E-track Ratchet Strap. This heavy duty tie-down strap lets you easily secure your cargo. This spring loaded fittings on the strap ends are designed to easily snap into an E-track anchor system. E-track systems are sold separately and available at etrailer.com, and then right here we have the ratcheting mechanism. Makes it very easy to tighten down the strap and maintain tension. That way you can easily secure your cargo.Now the ratchet and the E-track fittings are made from a steel construction, and they feature protective finishing to keep them safe from rust and corrosion, and the strap itself is made from a durable polyester webbing.

Now the ratcheting mechanism has three positions, so you have your closed position. Once you're done tightening your cargo, you would want to move it into this position, then you lift up on the release lever, move it to the center position. That's your ratcheting position, and then lift up on the release lever, open it all the way up, and then this is the position that you'd want it in when you're ready to release your tension, so you can unload your gear.So overall, it's a really nice design. This system is very easy to use. It's a nice strap, nice ratcheting mechanism.

I don't notice any kinking or binding, and again, it has corrosion resistant elements to it, so you don't have to worry about rust being a factor.When it comes to the strap dimensions, the strap measures two inches wide, and you get a total length of 16 feet, so you get 12 feet on the ratchet end, and then an additional 4 feet on the lead end. The safe working load limit for this strap is 1,000 pounds. The maximum load or break strength is 3,000 pounds, and just always keep in mind that tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit. So the weight of your secured cargo should not exceed the combined working load limit of the straps being used.That's going to do it for today's look at the E-track Ratchet Strap.
