Welcome to this new series covering most of the European railway scene spanning a period of around 5 + years from the middle of 1995. All filmed in high quality SVHS and later with a 3 ccd broadcast camera, with full stereo. Countries covered in this series are France (SNCF), Austria (OBB), Belgium (SNCB/NMBS), Czech Republic (CD), Denmark (DSB), Germany (DB DR), Hungary (MAV GySEV), Italy (FS), Luxembourg (CFL), Netherlands (NS), Poland (PKP), Portugal (CP), Locomotive only from Slovakia (ZSR), Spain (RENFE), Switzerland (SBB CFF FFS), (not in this series but into the digital age is Croatia, already uploaded onto the channel)

This video being split into 2 parts was my first venture into Germany and after a long Car/Boat and Train journey I arrived in the early morning. The station was already bustling with activity and nearly every train was push/pulled by a locomotive. The weather was not too kind as you can see from the wet platforms. I witnessed many of the German Railway Electric classes such as 103, 110, 111, 112, 141, 143 and diesel classes 215, 360. Long haul trains such as services between Germany and Holland, Hamburg to Vienna (Wien) and the service to and from Ostend (Oostend) hauled by SNCB class 1800 Locomotives. Sadly DB suffered a lot from the Graffiti fraternity who daub the carriages with their so called "art work". I hope you enjoy the series and if you are from the area or know the area featured that it will evoke many fond memories.
