In Manhattan Theatre Club's "The Columnist," feared and revered social scribe Joseph Alsop is accustomed to exposing the truth, but the man uncovering the secrets of Washington's elite may be harboring the biggest secret of them all. Directed by Daniel Sullivan, David Auburn's political drama stars two-time Tony Award winner John Lithgow in the title role and also features Tony nominee Stephen Kunken as journalist David Halberstam, four-time Tony winner Boyd Gaines as Joseph's brother Stewart, Margaret Colin as Susan Alsop and Grace Gummer as Joseph's daughter Abigail.
