There was water leaking into the passenger footwell in my 2013 Chevy Volt. I applied new seam sealer to the firewall in Part 4. This video shows my process for killing the mold and extracting the water out of the carpet backing.

Items and tools used:
White Vinegar (4:1 dilution)
McCulloch MC1375 steamer w/ triangle head and microfiber boot
Bissell Spot Clean Pro Portable Carpet Cleaner
Nitrile Gloves
Face Mask
