Maiden call in Livorno for the new cruise ferry MOBY FANTASY - 03/06/23

ITA: Primo arrivo a Livorno e primo ormeggio in Italia per il nuovo traghetto #MobyFantasy noleggiato da #Moby, giunto a #Livorno dopo 22 giorni di navigazione da Nansha, nel Mar Cinese Merdionale, dove attendeva la partenza in direzione del Mar Mediterraneo. Il Moby Fantasy è stato progettato dagli studi danesi OSK e costruito nei cantieri navali GSI di Guangzhou, dove è stato varato il 6 novembre 2021. Il nuovo traghetto opererà sulla linea #Livorno - #Olbia assieme al #MobyVinci (ex Nuraghes). La nave è lunga 237 m e larga 33, con una stazza di 69500 che la rende la nave traghetto più grande del mediterraneo per stazza. Può ospitare fino a 2500 passeggeri in 550 cabine nonché 1300 auto o 300 tir (3800 metri lineari di carico). La nave è inoltre #LNG-ready, ovvero è praticamente pronta per poter alimentare i motori #Wartsila 9L46DF a gas naturale liquefatto.

ENG: First arrival in Italy, Livorno, for the brand new cruise-ferry Moby Fantasy by Moby Lines after 22 days of navigation from Nansha, in the Southern Chinese Sea, where she was waiting for her official delivery to the Owner. Moby Fantasy was designed in the danish OSK technical studios and was built in GSI shipyards in Guangzhou where she floated out on the 6th of November, 2021. The ferry will operate on the Livorno - Olbia route together with Moby Vinci (previously named Nuraghes). Moby Fantasy is 237 m long, 33 m wide, with a Gross Tonnage of 69500 which makes her the biggest ferry in the Mediterranean Sea. She can bring up to 2500 passengers in 550 cabins together with 1300 cars and 300 trucks (3800 linear meters of rolling cargo). The ship is LNG-ready, so she is basically ready to use liquified natural gas to feed the four Wartsila 9L46DF propulsive motors.
