MX5 NA Miata - How to change the motor oil and oil filter

In this video I'm going to do some maintenance on the car and that is changing the motor oil and the oil filter! There will be a couple of useful tips in this video that can help you with your oil and filter change so check it out!

One of the biggest Miata discussions is which oil is the best for your Miata and there are so many conflicting answers so I encourage you to do your own research and draw your own conclusion what’s best for your car. It also depends on where you live and how you use your car.

» Jack
» Jack stands
» Spare wheels (optional)
» Oil drain pan
» Socket wrench
» 19mm socket (oil drain plug size may vary)
» Gloves (optional)
» Big socket extension (optional)
» Oil filter wrench
» Big flat head screwdriver (optional)
» Old rag
» A lot of paper towels
» Funnel
» Soda bottle (optional)
» Oil drain plug washer (optional)

» Torque wrench set to 25 lbf-ft / 34 Nm (optional)
» Old jug (optional)
