It was tested several times by Marco Apicella, Naoki Hattori and Shinji Nakano.
Their best lap time on Suzuka was 1:46.270 more than 7 seconds slower then the Pole Time Jacques Villeneuve set.

Dome's lack of sponsorship eventually forced it to cancel its plans to enter the 1997 Formula One season in the autumn of 1996
