Carrie Brownstein: What a really sh*tty year it has been… in a lot of ways… but it’s over, right? This song (Bury Our Friends) is a little about looking backwards… we’ll look forward later in the night, but this is for all the friends and people we’ve lost this year.

This is one of the first times in many years that I have actually been out on New Year’s… Way past my bedtime right now… lol

A nearby fan threw a rainbow flag on stage and after the midnight celebration Katie Harkin wore it like a cape for the final few songs. Carrie, Corin and Katie also donned oversized light up 2017 glasses as well.

Before the show, the Masonic staff handed out free NYE hats, tiaras and S-K labeled Hershey Kisses. The band also released a live LP that night, ‘Live in Paris’, and the colored vinyl sold out early. Was able to get a CD, though…
