Welcome to BUFT's Spring Semester 2024 Orientation Program! 🌟

On March 24, 2024, the BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) hosted an enriching orientation program for its newly admitted students. The BUFT Permanent Campus in Nishatnagar, Turag, Dhaka 1230, buzzed with excitement as esteemed guests and faculty members gathered to welcome the newest members of the BUFT family.

Chaired by Mr. Shafiul Islam, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, BUFT Trust, the program was graced by the presence of Mr. A.K. Azad, MP, Managing Director of Ha-Meem Group, who honored the occasion as the Chief Guest. Prof. Dr. S.M. Mahfuzur Rahman, Vice Chancellor of BUFT, shared his insights as the Special Discussant, adding depth to the proceedings.

The warm welcome extended to the newly enrolled students was led by Prof. Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, Pro Vice Chancellor of BUFT, setting the tone for an inclusive and empowering experience ahead.

Distinguished speakers including Mr. Muzaffar U Siddique, Founder Chairman of BoT; Mr. Faruque Hassan, President of BGMEA and Member of BoT; and other esteemed members of the Board of Trustees shared valuable perspectives. Faculty deans and officials, including Prof. Dr. Md. Abdul Jalil, Prof. Md. Muinuddin Khan, Prof. Dr. Md. Sirajul Karim Choudhury, Prof. Dr. Engr. Abu Bakr Siddique, Prof. Dr. Md. Alamgir Hossain, Prof. Dr. Engr. Mohammed Rubaiyat Chowdhury, illuminated the path forward for the students.

A heartfelt gesture of philanthropy marked the event, with Mr. Faruque Hassan and Mr. A.K. Azad generously contributing to the education fund of the university, supporting the welfare of deserving students.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. ANM Rafiqul Alam, Director of Student Welfare, expressing gratitude to all participants for their contributions towards making the orientation a resounding success.
