Pt.1 Building Tamiya McLAREN Senna Scale Model Assembly Kit | BODY

In this video, I'll begin the first part of the complete Tamiya McLaren Senna build. Unlike most car models, Tamiya hasn't molded a single body shell for this kit. Instead, the body is made up of numerous individual parts that fit onto the frame. This approach showcases the complexity of the car’s structure and allows for more detailed modeling. While this does make the build more challenging, Tamiya's models are known for their excellent fit and precision, making the process smoother.

I opted to use a custom-mixed carbon gray instead of the semi-gloss black suggested in the assembly instructions. This change better represents the carbon fiber components found on the real car. The result looks good, and I hope you all enjoy my work. See you in the next video, where we'll continue with the build.
