Project Nirmal Jal: Transforming Lives in Rural Maharashtra

In the heart of Husnapur village in Waradha, Maharashtra, the Nirmal Jal Project is making a significant impact on community health and women’s empowerment. Through this initiative, the Damini Women Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) received a water purification unit, bringing safe and affordable drinking water to thousands.

This project was established with two core goals: to provide clean drinking water to underserved communities and to create a sustainable economic opportunity for the women-led Damini FPO. Since its inception, the project has grown, and the FPO now proudly serves 10-12 surrounding villages, ensuring access to purified water and reducing waterborne diseases in the region.
