Let's talk about character design, specifically for the Science Fiction genre, from both an artist's and a writer's perspective. I'll be using one of my own Sci-Fi works in progress as my example, but please do NOT attempt to appropriate these characters, this setting and species, or this plot for yourself. I do intend to publish, and I do have proof of when I invented them.

My opening setting is the planet Ylloidia, home of the Ylloi, vaguely humanoid creatures evolved from something similar to a sugar glider. The characters we're designing today are space mission crew mates Kleeka, Glin, and Ward.
