For years, influencers in this space told us:

“Health comes at any size.”
“All bodies are beautiful.”
“You don’t need to change a thing — just love yourself.”

They called it fat joy. They shamed anyone who counted calories, hit the gym, or even thought about weight-loss medication.

But the cracks started to show.
When outside critics pushed back, some of the loudest voices in the movement fought back...by eating more and more...and more. Then things shifted and their own patrons, their own sisters...started to bend and lose weight.

Now the same leaders who scolded others for “lying to their audience” have been exposed for secretly losing weight, dabbling in the very drugs they once called dangerous, and hiding their transformations behind closed doors and they are confessing it all!

The movement that promised self-acceptance couldn’t seem to accept itself — and we’re unpacking it all.
