Shuttering is like the jelly mould, if hempcrete were jelly. Hempcrete isn't jelly, so this is some carefully placed boards that define the final shape of the wall. The shuttering is designed so that hempcrete can be hand-placed behind it, so that it can be handled by one person working alone in a covid pandemic, and so that it is re-usable and environmentally sound. This is where I build the walls of the entire structure in a single episode against a backdrop of injury, death, foul weather, and global pestilence. If that sounds like fun (you pervert) then this is the episode for you!
