Fun fight, heavily reminded me of Portrait of Ruin's partner system! Basically Zangetsu will tell you if you need to hide behind him AND PLEASE FOLLOW IT. After the projectile barrage, if you're a bit close, it might use the plow attack, to avoid it, either stand on a higher ground and double jump at the right time OR go the leftmost part of the screen. It's best to use a gun here since getting too close will often make you get hit, I used my strongest bullets during this run hence the high damage output. What's also neat about this fight is that Zangetsu not only blocks one of the attacks, he also charges with you and IF his hits lands, they do really ridiculous damage so put that to your advantage!

During the first phase of the battle, hit the lower right portion of the boss to deal damage, any attack you do on the head will just render 1 damage while its armor is still on.
