METHI SAAG RECIPE

INGREDIENTS:

4-5 tbsp of oil
1 bunch of palak and methi leaves each
2-3 tbsp of oil
1 tsp of cumin seeds
1 tbsp of finely chopped garlic
2 tbsp of finely chopped green chillies
2 onions finely chopped
1/4 cup of water
2 finely chopped tomatoes
1/2 cup of besan/gram flour
1/2 cup of peanut powder
1/2 tsp of turmeric powder
1 tsp of sugar
Salt to taste
1/2 cup
1 dollop of ghee
Finely chopped garlic


METHOD:

Heat 4-5 tbsp of oil
Take 1 bunch of palak and methi leaves each
Finely chop them and sauté it till the leaves reduce in size
Remove it in a plate
In the same kadhai add 2-3 tbsp of oil
Splutter 1 tsp of cumin seeds
Add 1 tbsp of finely chopped garlic
2 tbsp of finely chopped green chillies
Saute it for a few seconds
Add 2 onions finely chopped
Add 1/4 cup of water
Add 2 finely chopped tomatoes
Add 1/2 cup of besan/gram flour
Let it roast well with onion tomato gravy
Add 1/2 cup of peanut powder to it
1/2 tsp of turmeric powder
Add 1 tsp of sugar
Mix it well
Add the methi & palak to it and cook it for 5-6 minutes
Add salt to taste
Mix it well
Add 1/2 cup of water to it
Give it a good mix
Let it cook for 5 minutes


For tadka
Heat a dollop of ghee
Add finely chopped garlic
Fry till the garlic is golden in colour
Add the tadka to the vegetable
Mix it well
