Music was written by Vincent Rose and the lyrics by Larry Stock/Al Lewis. Already published in 1940 and recorded at that time by several artists, among them : The Glenn Miller Orchestra, Gene Krupa, Gene Autry and later in 1949 also by Louis Armstrong. The very best remembered version is the recording by Fats Domino in 1956. The song was Fats Domino's greatest Hit and remains the song most associated with him.That version inspired me to make my instrumental version.
