In this video, we will be unboxing and pairing the Ring 2nd Generation Contact Sensor with Home Assistant. You don't need a ring hub or alarm system to make these sensors work if you're running Home Assistant. Since these contact sensors are using Z-Wave protocol, you can simply use it with any software that integrates Z-Wave as long as you have a Z-Wave receiver.
