The Very Hungry Caterpillar is one of my favorite Eric Carle books. I love reading this to my students and kids.

I find the story engaging as it is both curious and funny for young readers. It is also a page-turner because of the colorful art. It is an easy book to recommend to introduce the concept of change and beauty to children.
