Speaker 1: Today you're going to be getting a good look at the Swagman Around the Spare Deluxe 2 Bike Rack for RV Bumpers, part number S80501. With your hitch in use for towing for your camper, you can still take your bikes with you camping. This two-bike rack is going to work on any RV or camper a four to four-and-a-half-inch bumper. You don't even have to worry about your spare tire getting in the way.There's a lot of movement at the rear of your RV or camper. Swagman has taken that in consideration. Each of your bikes are supported by two soft rubber cradles and four straps.

One of your straps is an anti-sway strap, that's going to help prevent swaying your bike when you're on the road. The three others are for your top tube. Swagman has also included two support straps that attach between your bike rack and your bikes. The Swagman Over the Spare 2 Bike Rack is going to work with your road bikes, mountain bikes, women's bikes, children's bikes, and bikes with alternative frame styles. Some bikes may require the use of a bike adapter bar to sit evenly on the cradles.

Swagman makes one and you can find that right here at eTrailer.com.I've gone ahead and removed the bikes so you can get a closer look. The cradles themselves are adjustable in and out to accommodate bike spacing, and adjustable left and right to accommodate bikes of different frame styles. They feature raised grooves to accommodate your break-lines and cables. The rubberized straps stretch out easily to secure your bike's frame. It removes easily so you can access your spare tire.

Just remove the two pins and clips. Then you can just lift it out of place. It's made with a rugged steel construction, with a black powder coat finish to guard against rust and corrosion. It has a weight capacity of 60 pounds. That's 30 pounds per bike.

Now, please note it's not to be used with aluminum bumpers or spot-welded bumpers.The Swagman Around the Spare features a limited lifetime warranty. Compared to ladder-mounded RV bike racks, you're getting a more sturdier rack and you won't lose access to your ladder. And with this style, there's no added expense of buying a hitch for your RV or camper. Now that we've gone over the features, I'll show you how you can get it installed. I've already got it loosely installed with the included U-bolts. Now the U-bolt are going to work with your four to four and a half inch bumpers. I've just got mine in place with the included hardware. I've got both U-Bolts loosely installed, that way I can adjust it to fit around my spare tire and also adjust it for my bike frame opening.As you can see, when I pull out on my U-bolt, my cradle arms get closer together. We just need to make sure that both sides are even, and then we can tighten everything down. Once you have it setup to fit your bikes and spare tire, you can tighten it down with a 9-16ths wrench. You will have to provide your own. When you tighten these down, you want to be sure and do it evenly. We can just repeat the same process on the other side. With the U-bolts tightened down, now you can tighten down your crossbar. You just want to make sure that the whole thing is sitting level. For these, you're going to need a half-inch wrench. Before you load up your bike, you'll want to undo your straps first. Just pull out and disconnect them.Now you can pivot your cradles to best suit your bike's frame. You'll want to load up your heaviest bike first. We'll bring it in and rest it in place. Now, you'll want to be sure to have it nice and snug up against your seat post too. Then you can bring around your first strap. This is going to be your anti-sway strap. Make sure it's nice and tight. Then you can just repeat the same process with the rest of your straps. Your second bike loads up the same as your first. You'll just want to be sure to alternate your handlebars. Swagman recommends a wheel strap, that's not provided. This is to help prevent your wheels from spinning. We have options here at eTrailer.com. They do include two straps for bike stability. They simply just go around your crossbar and around your frames.
