For almost 1,000 years, the Jewish community lived and Jewish music thrived in Poland. In this presentation, a quartet from Chicago's Maxwell Street Klezmer Band highlights the story of klezmer and Jewish folk music, as well as drawing portraits of a few of the many Polish Jewish musicians of the 20th century.
This presentation was created at the request of the Polish Heritage Alliance, Wisconsin.
Musicians, in order to offer a virtual program during the pandemic. The Maxwell Street Klezmer Band musicians are:
