A motion has been passed in the Federal Parliament of Australia calling for an end to the persecution of the Baha'is in Iran.
The motion was put forward by Ian Goodenough and seconded by Peter Khalil, with support from across the floor by Jason Falinski, Sharon Claydon, Anne Aly, and Helen Haines.
Each expressed their support towards the Baha'i community and called on the government of Iran to respect and uphold the human rights of the Baha'is in Iran.
