According to reports published in leading Pakistani newspapers, the KP government has initiated strict action against illegal Afghan refugees. Under the Illegal Foreigners Repatriation Plan (IFRP), weekly progress reports by concerned officers have been made mandatory and will be submitted to the Ministry of Interior. Authorities are monitoring deportation progress closely to ensure effective implementation.

The government has established transit points, arranged food, water, medical facilities, and temporary accommodation, and ensured security for routes and convoys due to potential security threats — reflecting a serious and structured approach.

Senior analyst Syed Shehram Shah stated that this marks a decisive shift in Pakistan’s policy, clearly signaling that there is no longer space for illegal foreigners in the country. While Khyber Pakhtunkhwa previously appeared reluctant to align fully with the federal government, the province now seems firmly on the same page.

According to the analysis, the state has conveyed a strong message to the provincial government that any resistance or delay in implementing this policy will have consequences.
