Walking Istanbul | Fenerbahçe and Kalamış

One of the best places to live in istanbul is Fenerbahçe, a neighbourhood in Kadıköy district of Istanbul (Asian Side). It is located on the Asian side of the city, directly at the shore of the Marmara Sea.

The name Fenerbahçe means "Lighthouse Garden" in the Turkish language, referring to the lighthouse which is located at Cape of Fenerbahçe.

Many of you will remember the name Fenerbahce from a Turkish Sport Club, which is also the owner of a strong Futbol Team (Soccer) named Fenerbahce S.K. The stadium of the club, the Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium is also located in the district of Kadıköy.

Kalamis and Fenerbahce neighborhoods have a marina with a capacity of 1400 boats. ⛵ Fenerbahçe and Kalamış Marina is the largest marina of Turkey.

You can also visit the Kalamış Atatürk Park and the Fenerbahçe Park. There are nice cafes in a green environment overlooking the Sea of Marmara.
