Weishan Ancient City is located in Weishan County, south of Dali. It is also known as Nanzhao Ancient City. It was the early capital of Nanzhao Kingdom and a caravan city on the Ancient Tea Horse Road. The architecture of the ancient city of Weishan is very well preserved. There are many historical relics with southwestern characteristics, which can be called the museum of the ancient country of Nanzhao. Compared with Dali, which is full of tourists today, the ancient city of Weishan is relatively quiet.
