Travel WHILE Skiing: PORTES DU SOLEIL

Описание к видео Travel WHILE Skiing: PORTES DU SOLEIL

Travelling on ski? Yes, that’s possible! The Portes du Soleil is the largest international ski resort in the entire world! The resort has 12 major stations, 308 slopes with a total length of more than 600 km and allows you to switch between Switzerland and France. There are plenty of roundtrips one can do in the Portes du Soleil. One of them would be starting from Morgins heading over to Champoussin, Les Crosets, Chavanette, Champéry, Pointe de Mosette, Les Lindarets, Avoriaz and again back to Morgins via Mosette. All of this in just 1 day without doing any slope more than once! The Portes du Soleil has plenty of slopes that are suitable for elders and kids, thus, skiing at all difficulty levels is possible. The largest station on the Swiss side is Les Crosets at where you can take numerous cable lifts. The highest elevation is at the Pointe de Mosette on 2200m that is entirely on Swiss ground. The best ski season is from Mid-December until end March. Sometimes, skiing in April is also possible. Very interesting slopes are the snow park at the Marcheusson in Les Crosets – The Stash from Avoriaz down to Les Lindarets leading you through a forest – The Swiss wall, one of the steepest slopes in the entire world with an incline of greater than 90%.
Skiing at the Portes du Soleil costs 71.- CHF per day for the entire resort (Switzerland and France), with other tickets: 1 station only, half-day, Evasion, you will be paying even less. There are still more stations to ski at: Torgon, Châtel, Morzine, Abondance and Les Gets, however, these are not shown in this video.
