Скачать или смотреть 9 Pentagon Constructions for Compass and Straightedge: A Tribute to Albrecht Durer w/Knew Geometry

In this video I share images of 9 pentagon constructions and discuss how Albrecht Durer's original drawing of a pentagon sharing the edge of hexagon is inaccurate. However, he inspired generations of geometers with his famous drawing inspiring them to continue to explore and practice the art of drawing sacred geometry. There are a number ways to construct a pentagon with a compass and straight edge that do not require measurements or sophisticated computer software, although I am thankful for such programs because they allow me to verify the techniques used in constructions, which is something Durer did not have in his time. So, regardless of whether or not his drawing was "correct" I am thankful he pointed me in a direction to explore and expand upon. The drawings I share in this video do just that. The majority were found "on my own" however that does one mean they were not discovered before as I indicate with some of the them in the video. I also imagine there are many techniques that I am unaware of that others know and that there are still many other ways to discover. That GREAT and exciting I'm looking forward to learning more. In addition to the pentagon constructions I also discuss the Sacred Geometry of the King's camber and show drawings of it from 5 perspectives, and was thrilled to discover how to draw it from 3 fold hexagon perspective using the Golden Seed of Life!
