Описание к видео HOW I USE A CANE - Blind VS Visually Impaired

In this video I show you how are use a cane to cross roads, navigate around obstacles, find handrails and navigate around busy areas. Since I am not fully blind and still have some remaining vision, the way in which I use my cane maybe different from others who are fully blind. As someone with no peripheral vision or lower field, are use my cane differently to how others with no vision may use a cane to navigate the world around them.

Being visually impaired, not fully blind, I don’t use my cane all the time! I tend to only use my cane when I am in new and unfamiliar environments, crowded or busy environments, or when crossing a busy road. Most of the time I will just use sighted guide or manage on my own, but Since I don’t have any peripheral vision or lower field as well as gaps in my vision, by using my cane I am able to also look at the world around me, whilst also avoiding obstacles that may be in my way.

When I was born the umbilical cord got wrapped around my neck, cutting off the oxygen to my brain, leaving me with a few mental and physical disabilities, including Cerebral Palsy and CVI. My goal is to educate people about my disability and disability in general, as well as give my advice on the things I love, including fashion, hair and make up and interior design, as well as showing how I do These things With a disability.
