This is a cool trick to teach your dog. It's called a "canine backstall." Basically, you teach your dog to jump on your back. Be careful, this is not recommended for old dogs or dogs too small or too large to do this safely. Use your better judgment. If you are looking for a new trick to teach your border collie or Aussie, here you go. It's a good trick for most healthy dogs that weigh between 25 and 45 lbs.

You want to be careful with young dogs, whose joints haven't set yet, as you don't want to jar their growth plates. You might consider wearing a heavy sweatshirt because the dog's claws can scratch you.

As they say on the TV exercise shows, check with your physician (or veterinarian) before attempting this or any other athletic activity. Do not attempt this trick if you have a pre-existing back injury or condition. Duh.
